Writer. Keynote Speaker.
Recruitment Expert.
DE&I Champion.
Rhett Lindsey is the founder and CEO of Siimee, a social impact company dedicated to reducing bias in hiring and transforming the way employers connect with job seekers. Prior to launching Siimee, Rhett spent over seven years leading and collaborating with teams at prominent companies including Facebook, Tinder, Microsoft, and The Walt Disney Company, sourcing and hiring talent in the technology and software development sectors. At Tinder, Rhett established and led the company's first Black History Month series, partnering with social impact organizations throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
Throughout his recruiting career, Rhett consistently encountered unjust recruitment strategies and technologies such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), which perpetuate biases in hiring. In December 2020, he left the recruiting industry to create Siimee, an organization committed to reforming corporate hiring processes. Siimee aims to increase awareness of inherent recruitment issues through expert conversations on its media channels and via its innovative platform, uniquely designed to mitigate biases at the initial stages of hiring, distinguishing itself significantly from traditional ATS systems used by over 90% of large U.S. corporations.
Rhett recently expanded his creative portfolio as the writer and executive producer of the critically acclaimed short film, Will I See You Again?, executive produced by Academy Award-winning filmmakers Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe. The film's compelling logline captures its emotional core: "After 20 years of estrangement, two former college teammates find themselves summoned to their late friend's estate hearing. To claim their inheritance, they must first confront their past relationship while undergoing a polygraph test.” As a writer, Rhett is furthering the development of the film's narrative into a one-hour limited TV series and has also written another one-hour drama series titled Jewell.
Lindsey’s impactful story and expertise have been featured nationally by media outlets including The Washington Post, CNBC, and CBS News This Morning. He is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, holding a bachelor’s degree in social work, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
“Inclusion is the connector between diversity and opportunity”
